LDN Shropshire and Staffordshire App

Local Dental Networks are a key part of providing sustainable leadership for the NHS and will work across the commissioning and provider services as a catalyst for change in the modernised NHS. The LDN will be hosted and supported by the Area Team of NHS England. All dental stakeholders should have a voice that can then be carried forward to the Area Team. This is a great opportunity to affect real change to the experience of dentistry for the local population. The Dental LPN has specifically been set up to be clinician led and focused on improving patient care however that may be achieved. This kind of opportunity has not been given to the dental profession before and we should grab it with both hands and ensure that we utilise its potential to improve dentistry in Shropshire and Staffordshire.

The LDN is due to meet next in 2022 and the dates will be announced soon.

LDN Shropshire and Staffordshire App

Communication between dental professionals has not always been as good as it could be. Use of emails and letters can be cumbersome and easily dismissed. With this in mind, the LDN has developed an App for use on smartphones to improve communication and make the dissemination of important information much easier and more streamlined.

You can then download the App either via the Apple App store or via the Google Play store. You will need to search for the App, please type in “LDN Shrops and Staffs” in the search bar and look for the picture of the App. Please see below screenshots of what the App will look like on the Apple App store and the Google Play store.

Please download the App on your smartphone of choice. You will need to email  sania.ahmed4@nhs.net  to get a link to set up a password.

This is a great new innovation, which will hopefully bring the dental community in Shropshire and Staffordshire closer together.

We are always looking for ideas to improve the App. If you have any suggestions, please contact sania.ahmed4@nhs.net

Regards,

Dr. N. Ahmed (Tony)
